A legal expert report dismantles plagiarism and self-plagiarism allegations
As part of the broader attempt to discredit Prof. Carla Rossi and her work on manuscript reconstruction, three publications were targeted with plagiarism-related accusations:
-
📘 The Book of Hours of Louis de Roucy – accused of copying a blog by Peter Kidd, despite being based on independent research and verifiable manuscript sources.
-
📙 Il Bronzino poeta – labelled as “self-plagiarism” for reusing content the author herself had developed and published.
-
📗 Sul confine italo-svizzero 1943–45 – challenged based on software similarity scores, with no contextual analysis or critical methodology.
These accusations have been officially refuted by a legal expert report, grounded in international copyright law and academic standards. The report shows that the claims lack merit and rely on a superficial or distorted understanding of intellectual property, research reuse, and scholarly authorship.
📖 A detailed presentation of the legal findings appears in the book The ReceptioGate Affair by Jordi Puig:
